This special performance benefits this worthwhile cause and will assist in developing a more comprehensive Arts Enrichment Program for Vista Del Mar Child & Family Services.
Synopsis: Flicker House Productions presents The Who's TOMMY, the pioneering rock opera which tells the story of a deaf, dumb, and blind boy who becomes a pinball champion and cult guru. This new production marks the theatrical premiere of EXP3D's 3-D Sound, a cutting-edge audio system that does for sound what 3-D lenses do for motion pictures. Stars include original Broadway cast member Alice Ripley and Nona Hendryx of '70s band LaBelle. The Who's TOMMY features music and lyrics by Pete Townshend and book by Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff.
This groundbreaking theatrical production of Tommy marks the first appearance in Los Angeles in a decade.
